Information Services

We endeavor to provide requested information to the library’s customers. A professional librarian is on duty whenever the library is open.  You may also email a librarian at info@hegganlibrary.org.

We use library books, magazines, newspapers, videos, DVDs, music CDs, online databases, Internet sources, and a vast network of librarians from all over the state of New Jersey.

Public computers with broadband access to the Internet and the Microsoft Office suite of products are available to adults and children whenever the library is open. We also offer wireless access to the internet for laptops.

We offer access to current library material in a variety of subject areas: business directories, career information, criss-cross directories, tax maps, legal information (New Jersey Statutes Annotated and New Jersey Administrative Code), medical information, New Jersey information, and regional reference sources.

A pamphlet file of newspaper clippings, brochures, handouts, etc. is maintained to allow customers to find information about local personalities, events, government, schools, and history. 

We work with school-age children to assist them in locating the information they need for school assignments. We help readers of all ages find books and other material to enjoy in their leisure time. 

Librarians are available to assist customers with our online catalog and with the collection of online resources for use in the library or at home.  If we do not have the material you require, we can facilitate Interlibrary Loan.
