Rebecca Ward
PLEASE WELCOME REBECCA WARD
We are thrilled that Rebecca Ward began working with us today as a PT Children’s Librarian. This newly created position ties in with our strategic planning goal of offering more programming for school-aged children.

In a few weeks, she will be attending her graduation ceremony, also at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where she is earning her MILS. Rebecca's graduate degree in library science from Rutgers will be accredited by the American Library Association.

Rebecca previously worked at the Somerset County Library System as a Library Assistant for two years where she was responsible for reference, outreach, collection management, and programming.

The new little free library at the Washington Twonship municipal building
TAKE A BOOK, SHARE A BOOK!
One of our 2025 strategic planning goals is to conduct more outreach to Washington Township residents. We are partly implementing this goal by adding Little Free Libraries throughout the township. We currently have one at Washington Lake Park which was sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 61578 last year.
The second Little Free Library was just installed at the Washington Township Municipal Building. Not only are there free books, but the Little Free Library includes bookmarks about our services. There is also a QR code on the unit to make it easy to access the library website.

We are thankful for Mayor DellaPia and the township Public Works Department who assisted us with this project.
