The children's library at the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library

Come take a look at the programs that our young patrons have enjoyed over the years! Interested in what more we have in store? Check out our upcoming Children’s Programs!

Make a cool craft with your library friends at Kids' Crafternoon, suitable for children in grades K through 5. We will kick things off with a short story!

We celebrate leap year with a craft!

At this hands-on, family-friendly program, we read a cake story and then “dumped” into our pans all the ingredients needed to make a decadent chocolate cake. Our young patrons then took it home to bake!

We celebrate the lunar new year with a drop-in craft!

Science Instructor Shannon Hornibrook taught our young patrons all about the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly and how we can help create a better habitat for them.

Let’s get into the “maker mindset” and upcycle different materials—from nature and from our craft closet—to create something new.

We met Roxxy and Roo, mini therapy horses from Ana’s World of Minis. Our young patrons got to pet Roxxy and Roo and take pictures!

A thirty-minute music- and dance-based storytime for ages 36 months and up.
